Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Her debut in a feature film was a small role on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody began her modeling career after the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody did not wear the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity during her modeling career. When she was dragged into the sights of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name was included in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors of 1986. 38. Doody was still only 18 years old when she made her appearance in the Bond role. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television adaptation from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main character of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody, who had been away from acting for almost 10 years, returned in 2003 to play a small role on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her as a character at an award ceremony. In 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. In 2010, Doody played a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the remake she made in 2011. The actress began her two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
